Alexander Nguyen, MD, joined South Valley Vascular in 2021 after serving in the United States Air Force as USAF Staff Vascular Surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Air Education and Training Command 81st MDG/MSGS, at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Systems Engineering from University of California, Davis, where he received the designation of being named to Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society. He then attended Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he earned his M.D. Dr. Nguyen completed his residency in General Surgery at University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, later completing a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Medical College of Virginia, VCU Health in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Nguyen is passionate about improving the overall quality of life of his patients. His clinical interests include the full spectrum of open and endovascular surgery. He is currently serving South Valley Vascular’s office in Fresno, California, and Saint Agnes Medical Center. Outside of work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys taking time to read, travel, shooting sports, and investment strategies.
